James 1:19-20

Be quick to listen.  God gave us 2 ears to better hear with.  Slow to speak.  God gave us 1 mouth to use it wisely.  In addition be slow to become angry.  Look at what is making you angry and ask; what is God teaching me through this.  Remember, God is about bring out the best in us.

He chose us!

James 1:18

Let it sink in...God chose us.  All we have to do is accept His Son’s death and resurrection by asking forgiveness of our sins and then we have a fresh start. Ready to produce the fruit of the Spirit.

Don't be deceived, the good gifts are from God

James 1:16-17

We're reminded here that the good gifts are from God and He doesn't change.  Even if a good gift comes from someone else remember that God uses people to deliver His gifts. Let us not forget to thank Him as well as the people who bring us good gifts.

Be blessed with humility

Don’t kid yourself; being rich doesn’t mean you’ve made it, After all you can’t take it with you. If you are poor rejoice in your humble faith walk for it's when we have little we learn to trust God.

James 1:6-8

In order not to be tossed about we need deep roots of faith.  This comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

If you want wisdom ask for it but have faith to believe you’ll get it.

Persevere until completion

We’re encouraged to persevere so ultimately we lack nothing. Keep going and don’t give up.

Perseverance

Perseverance comes from tough times...so when the going gets tough; the tough get going.
Don't give up.
